Tuning your wristband buzz

Modified on Fri, 2 Feb at 10:51 AM

Your wristband has a vibration motor in it which creates the buzz to ask the wearer if they are OK as the first pre-alert check.

The buzzer is set to a level that suits many wearers but can be tuned to ensure the resonance it tuned to be distinct to the wearer.

How to tune the buzzer

  1. On the wearer's dashboard go to MY BAND
  2. Below the calendar you will see Buzz Type, Buzz feel and 'Range and buzz test'. Toggle on the Range and Buzz test.
When this is switched on it allows you to explore the range and buzz settings with no risk of accidentally calling for help.
  3. Select one of the options - Whisper, Purr, Hum or Fizz - and click on 'Save Changes (top right).
  4. Press a single button on the wristband and wait for the buzz.
  5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 on a different setting and see if it is better or worse.
  6. Set the system to the setting you found most distinct, and click the 'Range and Buzz test' toggle to off and press 'Save changes'

The Range and buzz test function automatically turns itself off after 15 minutes so the system will resume full function even if you forget to reset this toggle.
